Facts travel slowly on social media compared with “negative” misinformation. We all know the ease with which false stories can spread on social media, through the mainstream media and around the world. It has become a massive problem, altering the course of elections, affecting the way people react to health crises and more. The crypto community is no different. As you likely heard, a company called Zeus Capital was attempting to pay influencers to post negative charts about LINK. I was accused (wrongfully) of being paid to be a part of this. The accusations came from a popular anonymous account that has attacked me countless times, and spread like wild fire before I even knew that it was happening. Further, this person has me blocked on twitter, so that I could not even see the posts.Ironically, these accounts continue to call me a larper and a fake, while hiding behind cartoons and, quite literally larping and faking. I have my face, name and personal information all over the internet, so it's laughable to accuse me of such.I posted a LINK chart on Tuesday, which was not bearish. It showed that I wanted to buy LINK, just at a slightly lower price based on the chart. Zeus Capital contacted influencers a day later on Wednesday, and did in fact send me a DM. I respond to every single DM politely, and I told them I had already posted a LINK chart the day before. That was the extent of it, and I shared the DMs publicly. I had no idea who they were, and they never offered me money to say anything negative.https://twitter.com/scottmelker/status/1288553643063549955?s=20That did not stop the crypto community from vilifying me, because the fake news was out before I was able to respond - and most of the people who saw it most likely never saw my response anyway.I have thick skin and know that this will quickly pass - that's not the issue. The issue is how easily a lie can go viral on social media. This reminds us how important it is to do our own research and formulate our own opinions, especially when it comes to the coins we decide to trade and invest in. You are being fed false news and FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt) maliciously on twitter and social media every single day and it is often nearly impossible to discern the real from the fake. Be careful what you believe and only get your information from trusted sources. It's your money that you are choosing to invest in these projects, so be sure that the choose the right ones based on accurate information. Most importantly, please understand that I would never, EVER, take money to post negative information about any person or company. I am here to help people, to be a positive actor in the community and to help call out this exact type of activity. The notion that I would sacrifice my integrity for something like this is absurd. On a more positive note, the website and weekly recap newsletter are both launching this Sunday! I really can't wait to get these out into the wild.A general note - whenever I draw a line on a chart, it should be viewed as elastic and not static. It is more of a zone. So the areas around those lines are usually more accurate. Further, I try to use multiple techniques and indicators on various charts, so if you are learning TA, you should read through all of these to see how I blindly look at a chart. If you are a new member, please refer to Issue 10 (you can click on it here - https://www.getrevue.co/profile/TheWolfDen/issues/the-wolf-den-crypto-newsletter-issue-10-219754 and have it sent to you) for instructions on how to make my charts your own.IMPORTANT NOTE - I will only accept requests on Wednesdays, between 8 AM and 1 PM EST.
