I read through the study and was impressed with the growth that we have seen across a number of different categories. 2021 has been a pivotal year, arguably the most important in the short history of crypto. As Grayscale puts it, “prices and interest in Bitcoin have reached all-time highs, as an increasing number of individuals and institutions are now engaging with the digital currency asset class.” To save you some time, I compiled the most significant metrics below into a few categories.Growing Interest“The interested market for Bitcoin investment products expanded to 59% in 2021, up from just over half (55%) in 2020 and slightly more than one-third (36%) in 2019, reflecting a steady growth in interest.” “Among investors who have shown an interest in bitcoin investment products, the greatest increase in 2021 was among older investors.”“The percentage of female investors who would consider Bitcoin investment products climbed 6% in 2021 vs. 2020 levels.”“More than 30% of investors want Bitcoin offered at more financial institutions.”Investment vs. Currency“3x as many investors would consider owning Bitcoin as an investment vs. as currency.”“More than half (55%) of investors polled invested in Bitcoin for the first time over the past 12 month period.”“Investors are placing slightly less emphasis on the store-of-value feature, at 42% in 2021 compared to 46% in 2020 and 54% in 2019.” Awareness Of The Market“More than half of investors were aware of Dogecoin and Ethereum. Almost three-quarters (74%) of investors have heard of Dogecoin, surpassing the level of awareness around Ethereum (56%).”“Litecoin, Cardano, and Tether are also on investors’ radar, with the awareness level hovering above 25% for each of them.” “Cryptocurrency investing is not a zero-sum game. Most investors who own Bitcoin (87%) also have exposure to one or more altcoins.”Impact Of An ETF“More than three-quarters (77%) of U.S. investors said they would be more likely to invest in Bitcoin if an ETF existed.”“The 77% figure can be broken down into 27% saying they are much more likely to participate and 50% somewhat more likely to participate. Only 23% said the ETF would make no impact on their participation.”We have a lot to look forward to in 2022!In This Issue:2021 Crypto Market SummaryBitcoin Thoughts And AnalysisHow To Margin Trade Like The ProsSpanish Bank Offers Ethereum ProductTIME Magazine POY Is A Contrarian SignalThe Wolf Of All Streets Podcast Ft.
