I really encourage you to check them out.Today is a big day for crypto regulation.Six titans from the crypto industry are currently preparing to testify in front of Congress. The hearing is named “Digital Assets and the Future of Finance: Understanding the Challenges and Benefits of Financial Innovation in the United States.”The crypto community is hoping that the conversation will be open, honest and fruitful, with both sides listening to the opinions of the "opposition." My expectation is that the companies will push for protection, clarity, and liberty and the regulators will demand control, oversight, and boundaries. The 6 executives that are arriving in D.C. are the arguably best evangelists that we have. The list consists of Jeremy Allaire, CEO of Circle, Samuel Bankman-Fried, CEO of FTX, Brian P. Brooks, CEO of Bitfury Group, Charles Cascarilla, CEO of Paxos Trust Company, Denelle Dixon CEO of Stellar Development Foundation and Alesia Jeanne Haas, CFO of Coinbase Global Inc. Each of these companies have publicly expressed their own unique set of wants and needs. Now is their chance to share them with regulators.Coinbase is a perfect example. They were recently denied the chance to roll out their lending product, with little explanation from the SEC and the threat of litigation. FTX wants to allow trading of tokenized stocks in the U.S. (and much more) and Paxos wants clarity around its stable coin. The list goes on.The whole world will be watching closely to see what unfolds.Don’t hold your breath - it is unlikely that Congress will offer any clarity or potential solutions. This is the beginning of a conversation that will continually for years. As one solution is found and problem is solved, three more will likely arise. But that’s how progress is made. I tend to focus on the positive. We have 6 brilliant people and they being given a platform. Elected officials will be forced to listen. This is a huge step in the right direction and is bullish for the space! The hearing will start soon, if you are reading this in the morning, you can watch it live HERE.Chart Request Live Stream at 1:30 PM EST. Please follow the rules.
