I really encourage you to check them out.Maximalism about almost anything in the world is generally a net negative. Most people who are maximalists are set in their ways, unable to process or accept new information and emotionally fixed in their beliefs. I have likened it in the past to stunted growth - finding something that suits your belief system and then refusing to grow behind that belief. This applies to maximalists of almost any kind - nationalism, sports teams, religion, politics etc. It is at the very core of the "us vs. them" mentality that has plagued humanity since the beginning of time. All of that said, I have mixed feelings about Bitcoin maximalism.Bitcoin maximalists have been largely responsible for the success of the asset for the past 12 years. They have been relentless and unwavering in their beliefs and have provided the foundation that all adoption is built upon. I give them endless credit for this, and believe that their passion is still essential for the furtherance of Bitcoin towards widespread acceptance. But many of them also seem stunted, believing that because Bitcoin is such a perfect asset that no other cryptocurrency should exist, even if that cryptocurrency has almost nothing in common with Bitcoin. To me, this is like someone who loves gold refusing to invest in Amazon (Bitcoin vs. Ethereum?), because they will ONLY put their money in gold. The two are completely unrelated and should be viewed through separate lenses. Why am I discussing this? Because Mark Cuban went head to head with a number of our beloved maximalists on twitter and then on twitter spaces.I am making no judgements surrounding the engagement. There were good points on both sides and obviously horrible takes as well. Mark asked Preston Pysh to share his Bitcoin holdings to prove he had skin in the game, while admittedly only holding $1500 in DOGE himself. Awkward and strange. If the common goal of everyone in Bitcoin and crypto is mainstream adoption and spreading the gospel of a superior asset class that can literally change the lives of average citizens, then we should all be working together. Mark Cuban is a powerful voice, known around the world, but the leaders of our industry cannot help but take every opportunity to alienate him and others that are actually interested in helping. In my mind, we should give him a pass and try to help educate him further. We should welcome every voice and encourage more celebrities to join the fray. All in all, another embarrassing situation on all sides that will further alienate others who would otherwise be likely to join our cause. In This Issue:Maximalism Strikes AgainBitcoin Thoughts And AnalysisAltcoin ChartsRead The Bitcoin White PaperDouble TopTether Fined 41MNorth Vancouver To Use Excess Bitcoin Mining Heat Indian Government Testing Blockchain Use CaseMy Recommended Platforms And ToolsIF YOU HAVE ANY ISSUE WITH THE NEWSLETTER OR YOUR SUBSCRIPTION, PLEASE CONTACT: PREMIUMSUPPORT@GETREVUE.CO
